"Summer by the Sea" Marine Science Day Camp

• Ages: 7 - 13 • Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Each camper will join our lifeguard certified marine biologist for exciting, hands-on marine science explorations. Experience a sea grass adventure, kayak and snorkel alongside our unique fossil reef, dissect squid, learn how to rescue a stranded dolphin or pelican, play fun science beach games, plus lots, lots more.

Everyday will be exciting and different!

2-Two week Sessions

Session 1  June 11 - June 22, 2012
Session 2  June 25 - July 6, 2012
(NO Camp on July 4)

Michael's Magic Summer by the Sea Camp 

Michael's Magic camp will be in its tenth year in 2012. Our ninth year of Michael's Magic Camp was wonderful.  This camp was sponsored by the Michael Scholz Memorial Charitable Fund, the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs along with the Children's Trust and the Board of County Commissioners.

The camp gave underprivileged inner-city children the experience of a lifetime.  The children were able to experience their natural environment and were taught how to swim, kayak, and perform scientific experiments.

Thanks to the many generous donations and grants received by the Biscayne Nature Center, we were able to offer this two-week FREE camp to 80 children at no cost to them or their families.  We are grateful to be able to help our community in such an important way, and are anxiously awaiting next year's camp.  If you would like to make a donation for next year's camp, give us a call.
